Using Rational ClearCase

In the Rational® ClearCase® environment, an auditable history of source files and software builds is maintained in your organization. In addition, the efforts of your team can be coordinated into a definable process by using one of the following sets of Rational ClearCase features:
  • Unified Change Management (UCM), an out-of-the-box process that supports best practices for change management as described in the IBM Rational Unified Process. Project managers can configure UCM policies to meet most project needs.
  • Base ClearCase triggers, scripts, and interfaces to Rational ClearCase such as cleartool that support development processes unique to your organization.

On Windows systems, Rational ClearCase Explorer is a developer's tool that supplies a customizable interface similar to that of Windows Explorer. For more information about Rational ClearCase Explorer, click Help > Using the Rational ClearCase Explorer.

For general information about Rational ClearCase, access the online help, using the start path, Start > Programs > IBM Rational > IBM Rational ClearCase > Online Help, or using Rational ClearCase Explorer by clicking Help > Help topics.
