The temporary release process involves tracking the temporary removal of a youth from placement for a variety of reasons while maintaining a place for the youth at the facility. When a temporary release record is created, the default duration of a temporary release can be administratively configured based on organization's policy. The estimated return date and time is calculated to default to the configured value when creating a temporary release in the application.
