A statement is a report that is used as evidence during a hearing. For example, a witness may submit a statement in support of the appellant(s) on an appeal case. A statement that is submitted by an appellant, respondent, third party, or witness must be submitted before the statement submission deadline date or it cannot be considered at the hearing. The statement submission deadline date is enforced to give the organization time to send copies of the statement to all the relevant participants to review before the hearing is held.
