A hearing review participant is a participant who plays a role on a hearing review, the most important of these being the appellant(s) and respondent. Hearing participants can also include representatives who attend a hearing on behalf of an appellant. A hearing representative could be a legal attorney hired to represent one or more appellants at the hearing. If a hearing representative charges a fee, the organization must approve it before it is paid to the representative.
