A contract is active for a finite period and may have to be renewed by the agency during the course of their association with the provider. The contract expires when the end date is reached, so the contract should be renewed before this point. The resource manager or resource manager supervisor is responsible for renewing contracts. The renewed contract is effective from the day after the end date of the previous contract.
