A provider may choose to stop delivering services to the organization's clients. Equally, the organization may decide to terminate their association with a particular provider for some reason.
CPM provides functionality allowing the resource manager to close a provider, so that no further clients can be authorized to receive services from that provider. For example, Carrie's Day Care has been offering services on behalf of the organization for five years. Due to staff shortages, Carrie's Day Care is forced to close and notifies the resource manager of this. The resource manager closes the provider record for Carrie's Day Care.
