The evidence broker includes a configuration option to limit the amount
of information which can be shared per evidence type. This ensures that
any out of date or redundant information is not shared. The configuration
options include:
- Share the latest update only. If selected, only the latest active
record will be shared.
- Share a specified number of evidence updates. If selected, the
specified number of active records including the latest will be shared.
For example, if 5 was specified here, the last 5 active records will be
shared. If there are only 2 records, the system will only share 2.
- Share updates from a specific period of time (months, weeks or
years). If selected, any active records from the specified period of
time will be shared. For example, if the user selected 10 years, any
active records, including the latest active record will be shared.
