Evidence on the application case is managed in much the same way as
evidence on other case types, with the exception that evidence is
automatically applied and activated on the application case. The worker
can view, insert, modify and delete evidence records, regardless of
whether the evidence record has a status of in-edit or active. The point
at which evidence is activated varies based on the status of the evidence
record:
- In-edit evidence records are activated when a program is authorized
on the application case. Evidence is stored as in-edit on an application
case when it is added manually by a worker, mapped from an IEG script,
or brokered from another case as in-edit. The program authorization
process identifies the evidence records that are required to authorize
the program(s) and activates them automatically. For more information,
see Authorizing Programs on an Application Case.
- Evidence that is already in a status of active is re-activated
automatically when it is updated by the worker. Evidence on an
application case may have a status of active if it was automatically
activated when it was brokered to the application case, or it may have
been activated when a program was authorized on the application
case.
