Business object associations have no functional impact on the execution of a manual activity. The workflow engine simply examines the metadata and places a record on the BizObjAssociation entity for each business object association specified. The business object type, the value of the workflow data object attribute mapping and the identifier of the newly created task associated with the manual activity are all used in the creation of this record.
