These rules specify the definition
of an alien sponsor and sponsor deeming exceptions. The deeming rules for
sponsors use these rules.
- A person who signed an Affidavit of Support on behalf of an alien
as a condition of the alien's entry or admission to the U.S. AND
- The sponsor is not included in the assistance unit AND
- The sponsor and/or the sponsor's spouse are financially
responsible for the alien by deeming their income to the alien unless
an exception is met AND
- An alien may have more than one sponsor
