The system landscape consists of the set of the systems among which data can be transported using CTM. One of the primary tasks that must be performed in advance of setting up and using CTM is to define the initial structure of the system landscape. That is, to decide on which systems the system landscape will contain, to decide on the role of each system (e.g. Development, Test, Production), and to decide on the transport paths between the systems.
