Prepare the Cognos content for deployment - Same Machine

About this task

If Cognos is installed on the same machine as the build environment then execute the following steps:

Procedure

  1. Add COGNOS_HOME to the environment.variables in BIApplication.properties. Set the COGNOS_HOME variable to the parent of the webcontent folder. if you have C:\Program Files\cognos\c10\webcontent, then set COGNOS_HOME= C:\Program Files\cognos\c10.
  2. Run "appbuild cognos.all" from %reporting_dir%\components\core. This will copy the deployment files to %cognos_home%\webcontent\samples.
