Configure Users

About this task

As detailed in Security Configuration, the configured WebSphere Application Server user registry is used for authentication of administrative users and the database user. The WebSphere administrative users and the database user must be manually added to the user registry as follows.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Users and Groups > Manage Users;
  2. Click the Create button;
  3. Fill in the details for the WebSphere administrative user and click the Create button.
  4. Repeat the steps for the database user.

Results

Note: If WebSphere administrative security was enabled when creating the profile the administrative user may already be defined in the registry.
