My Notifications

During the execution of a workflow process, the workflow engine may create notifications. Notifications are used to inform a user that an event has occurred. However unlike tasks, there is no expectation that the user needs to do any work. Notifications may be delivered to the user via email or through alerts. Notifications that are delivered using the alert mechanism are displayed in the My Notifications page.

A notification will remain in this list until acknowledged by the user. The user may delete these notifications one by one or many at a time. It should be noted that alerts are physically deleted from the Alert database table when a user performs this action.

Note: There is also a view of the users recent notifications from the application home pages.
