A workflow process definition describes the tasks and flow of a business process in terms understood by the Cúram Workflow Management System. To perform the work described in the specified process definition, an instance of it must be created and executed by the workflow engine. The mechanism by which this is done is described in this section. A process instance may be considered as the runtime data for an enacted workflow process definition.
