DOWNLOADING THE PATCH

This section describes how to download the connector patch from the IBM Corp Exchange website.

Note: Downloading software from the website requires a user name and password. Contact your CrossWorlds system administrator or a technical support contact for your site. To extract and install the connector files, you must have already installed CrossWorlds InterChange Server or Serverless Trading Agent.

To download the connector software from the Web:

  1. Back up any files that contain customized settings, for example, customized startup settings.
  2. Log in to CrossWorlds Exchange. Navigate to the Connectivity page (Products > Information Management > Connectivity), then expand the appropriate item by clicking the plus sign (+) next to it. Click your connector item in the list.
  3. In the Download(s) table, find the zip file for your application version and platform, and download it.
Note: The documentation home page on your system does not contain a link to the manual for this product. You can access the manual from the CrossWorlds Exchange. When you are at the Exchange site, log in as a subscriber (with your user name and password), then click Product Documentation and choose the appropriate link for your operating system. The home page that appears contains a link to the online manual for this product. If you wish, you can also download the home page to %CROSSWORLDS%\documentation\welcome.pdf(Windows) or $CROSSWORLDS/documentation/welcome.pdf (UNIX) on your system.

UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS

To perform an upgrade to this version of the connector:
  1. Upgrade to the most recent maintenance (4.0.0) release if you have not already done so.
  2. Apply the changes prescribed in each table below, beginning with the entries at the bottom of each table and working up to the most recent patch.
Add, replace, or remove the following files and directories as indicated:
