The TXSeries(R) Program Temporary Fix (PTF) is a collection of cumulative product patches and recent software fixes. Installing this PTF updates the TXSeries CICS to version 6.1.0.1 This README file lists the APARs that have been fixed in the TXSeries CICS 6.1.0.1 PTF, and gives important notes for all supported platforms.

Obtaining the TXSeries CICS PTF

Download the PTF from the TXSeries Support download Web page. Follow the instructions that are given on the Web site, and download the PTF. Then, follow the installation procedures that are given in the READPTF_<lang>.htm file provided along with the PTF download.

Ensure that all CICS services that are on the machine are stopped. On Windows, TXSeries LWI Service also needs to be stopped prior to the installation of the PTF.
