A WebSphere Business Integration Adapter resource provides a mechanism to communicate administrative commands, through the Java Message Service (JMS), to the connector component of the WebSphere Business Integration Adapter. The connector is the runtime component of the adapter. Its connector framework processes the commands controlling the state of the connector.

Specifies the level and identity of the scope to which this WebSphere Business Integration Adapter resource is visible (cell, node, or server level).
IBM Business Process Manager allows resources such as JDBC Providers, Namespace Bindings, or Shared Libraries at multiple scopes, with resources defined at more specific scopes overriding duplicates that are defined at more general scopes.
Property | Value |
---|---|
Data type | String |
The most general scope. Resources defined at the Cell scope are visible from all nodes and servers, unless they have been overridden.
To view resources defined in the cell scope, do not specify a server or a node name in the scope selection form.
Property | Value |
---|---|
Data type | String |
The default scope for most WebSphere Business Integration Adapter resources. Resources defined at the Node scope override any duplicates defined at the Cell scope and are visible to all servers on the same node, unless they have been overridden at a server scope on that node.
To view WebSphere Business Integration Adapter resources defined in a node scope, do not specify a server, but select a node name from the available nodes listed when you click Browse Nodes.
Property | Value |
---|---|
Data type | String |
The most specific scope for defining WebSphere Business Integration Adapter resources. Resources defined at the Server scope override any duplicate resource definitions defined at the Cell scope or parent Node scope and are visible only to a specific server.
To view resources defined in a server scope, choose, in addition to a node name, a server name from the list of servers displayed when you click Browse Servers. When resources are created, they are always created into the current scope that is selected in the panel. To view resources in other scopes, specify a different node or server in the scope selection form.
