Package com.ibm.websphere.workarea

Interface Summary

Interface Description
UserWorkArea The UserWorkArea interface defines the methods that allow an application to define and populate contextual boundaries.
WorkAreaPartitionManager The WorkAreaManager interface defines the methods that allow a user to create their own WorkArea Partition and to retreive their WorkArea Partition.

Class Summary

Class Description
PropertyModeType PropertyModeTypes permit applications to indicate that specific values set into a WorkArea should not be removeable, overridable/overwriteable, or both.

Exception Summary

Exception Description
NoSuchPartitionException A NoSuchPartitionException exception indicates that the work area partition a user tried to look up doesn't exist.
NotOriginator The NotOriginator exception enforces a concept integral to the WorkArea service; context may only be modified within the process (client, servlet, bean) that created the boundary when a WorkArea partition is defined to be unidirectional (that is, context only propagates downstream and not back up stream).
NotSerializableError A NotSerializableError reflects the possibility that non-java processes may potentially interact with java processes via iiop carrying WorkArea context; for example, it is possible to set context into a WorkArea in a C++ environment and carry that context into an ejb.
NoWorkArea A NoWorkArea exception indicates that the method invoked on the UserWorkArea interface requires an active WorkArea.
PartitionAlreadyExistsException A PartitionAlreadyExistsException exception indicates that the work area partition with the given name a user tried to create already exists.
PropertyFixed A PropertyFixed exception indicates that an application has requested that the WorkArea service remove an existing property that has previously been set as fixed.
PropertyReadOnly A PropertyReadOnly exception indicates that an attempt was made to override or overwrite a property that was set as read_only.
WorkAreaException The base exception class for the WorkArea exceptions.
WorkAreaInternalException The WorkAreaInternalException class is used for runtime exceptions that arise in the WorkArea service.
