Use this page to add or remove clusters or servers to a
custom deployment environment, and add or delete clusters or servers
from a specific collaborative unit altering the resources available
for a function.

- Select Clusters and Servers
- Use this section of the page to add or delete clusters or servers
to the topology.
- Add
- Includes a cluster or a server in the deployment topology based
on your selection from Cluster or Server.
- Remove
- Removes selected clusters or servers from the deployment topology.
- Select
- Selects a cluster or server in the layout to delete or to add
a cluster or server to a collaborative unit in the deployment topology.
- Clusters and Servers
- The name of the cluster or server in the deployment topology.
- Node
- The name of the node in the server in the deployment environment.
The node name qualifies the server fully. If the item in the row is
a cluster, this field is empty.
- Status
- The current status of the cluster or server.
- Messaging
- The clusters and servers that make up the collaborative
units that provides the messaging function. A unit consists of a messaging
engine and the clusters or servers that use that messaging engine
as a target.
- Add Clusters and Servers
- Adds a cluster or server to this unit. If you select multiple
clusters or servers in Select Clusters and Servers,
all the selected entities are added to this unit.
- Delete Clusters and Servers
- Deletes the selected clusters or servers from this unit.
- Delete Unit
- Removes the unit from the custom deployment topology.
Important: There must be at least one unit for a topology to
be complete.
- Select
- Selects a cluster or server to delete.
- Clusters and Servers
- The name of the cluster or server in the deployment environment.
- Node
- The name of the node in the server in the deployment environment.
The node name qualifies the server fully. If the item in the row is
a cluster, this field is empty.
- Local
- Indicates the cluster or server that contains the destination
messaging engine used by the other clusters in the unit.
Restriction: You can have only one Local cluster
or server in a unit. The display indicates the
configured cluster or server with a selected radio button.
- Add New Unit
- Defines a new unit for the current function.
- Common Event Infrastructure
- The clusters and servers that make up the collaborate
units that provide the Common Event Infrastructure (CEI) function.
A unit consists of a CEI server and the clusters or servers that use
that CEI server.
- The name of the cluster or server in the deployment topology.
- Node
- The name of the node in the server in the deployment environment.
The node name qualifies the server fully. If the item in the row is
a cluster, this field is empty.
- Server
- Indicates the cluster or server on which the CEI server resides.
Restriction: You can have only one Server in
a unit.The display indicates the
configured cluster or server with a selected radio button.
- Add New Unit
- Defines a new unit for the current function.
- Application Support
- The clusters and servers that make up the collaborative
units that provide the support function. Each row displays the available
components on a cluster or server using a selectable item in the display.
If that item is unavailable for selection, the component is not configurable
on that cluster or server.
Note: The Business Process Choreographer choices are
only displayed on installations of IBM Business Process Manager Advanced
or IBM Business Process Manager Advanced: Process Server.
- Select
- Selects a cluster or server to delete.
- Clusters and Servers
- The name of the cluster or server in the deployment topology.
- Node
- The name of the node in the server in the deployment environment.
The node name qualifies the server fully. If the item in the row is
a cluster, this field is empty.
- Service Component Architecture
- Shows the state of the Service Component Architecture (SCA). If
SCA is configured, the check box is checked and unavailable. If you
have not yet configured SCA, the check box is available. The messaging
configuration determines whether the cluster or server uses local
or remote messaging.
Note: You can configure multiple clusters or
servers to support SCA.
- Business Process Choreographer Container
- Configures both BPEL process flows and human tasks. This option
is not available if you have not configured SCA on the cluster or
server. You can only configure one of these in each unit. The system
prevents you from adding other clusters or servers to this unit that
would violate the constraint by preventing you from selecting the Add
Clusters and Servers button for a cluster or server that
has a Business Process Choreographer Container configured. You can
set up multiple Business Process Choreographer containers in a deployment
environment by adding additional units
Restriction: You
will not be able to delete a cluster or server that contains a Business
Process Choreographer Container until every cluster or server that
depends on that cluster or server is removed from the unit.
- Business Process Choreographer Explorer
- Installs the Business Process Choreographer Explorer. After Business
Process Choreographer Explorer has finished installing, the item displays
selected and the control is unavailable. This option is enabled only
if you are installing the Business Process Choreographer Container
in the same unit and the Business Process Choreographer Explorer in
this unit is configured to manage the container in the same unit.
Installing Business Process Choreographer Explorer
includes the reporting function that in the past was provided by Business
Process Choreographer Event Observer.
Note: You cannot use the explorer's
reporting function if there is no event collector configured.
- Business Process Choreographer Event Collector
- Installs the event collector. This option is enabled only if you
configure the CEI server on the same cluster or server.
Restriction: You can install only one event collector in a unit.
To prevent an error, the system prevents you from selecting Add
Clusters and Servers if you have previously configured
an event collector and the cluster or server contains one. The display indicates the
configured cluster or server with a selected radio button.
- Business Process Rules Manager
- Installs the business process rules manager on this unit. You
can only select this option if you have configured SCA.
Restriction: You can install only one business process rules
manager in a deployment environment. To prevent an error, the system
prevents you from selecting Add Clusters and Servers if
you have previously configured a business process rules manager and
the cluster or server contains one. The display indicates the
configured cluster or server with a selected radio button.
- Add New Unit
- Defines a new unit for the current function.
