Documentation

  1. The WebSphere Commerce Business Edition Technical Library page contains any updates that have been made to the online help and installation guide. Also available is additional product information not shipped on the CD.
     
  2. There has been a name change to one of our products, which may cause inconsistencies between the documentation and the packaging. The shipped product is called WebSphere Payments, but some documentation may still refer to it as WebSphere Payment Manager.

Installation

  1. On SuSE Linux EnterPrise Server 7(SLES 7), for IBM eServer ZSeries and S/390, the patch SLES-7-PatchCD-1-s390-20020522.iso is required for DB2 Version 7.2 for zSeries. Ensure the patch is applied before installing DB2. For more information, refer to www.ibm.com/software/data/db2/linux/validate
  2. The graphical user interface does not support the key man utility, IKEYMAN, on Linux for eServer zSeries and S/390. Instead, use the command line interface IKEYMAN (IKEYCMD).   3. DB2 FixPak7 MI00044 needs to be applied to Linux for eServer zSeries and S/390 Version 5.4. Upgrade from IBM DB2 UDB 7.1.0.67 to IBM DB2 UDB 7.1.0.68 by installing the FP7_MI00044. You can find the DB2 FP7 MI00044 at the following URL:

    Note    : only upgrade once the basic install is completed and confirmed to be working.

    If you apply DB2 FP7 MI00044 before completing the install of WebSphere Commerce Business Edition 5.4, you will receive the following error messages when you run the wcb.sh script.

    ERROR: Detected unsupported DB Version: v7.1.0.68,
    ERROR: Detected unsupported DB ADT Version: 7.1.0

    If you apply DB2 FP7 MI00044 after completing the install of WebSphere Commerce Business Edition 5.4, you will not see those errors.
