Use this page to view a summary of the payment operations performed for an order.
- Order number
- The number that uniquely identifies the order.
- Currency
- The customer's preferred currency. If customers have not provided their preferred currency during registration, the currency is the store's default currency.
- Payment Activity History
- This section lists the payment operations associated with the order. Because more than one payment method might be used to pay for an order, and payments can occur at different times if order items are shipped at different times, more than one operation could be listed here for the order.
- Operation

- Create
- A payment instruction was created.
- Remove
- A payment instruction was deleted.
- Cancel
- A payment instruction was canceled.
- Update
- A payment instruction was edited or changed.
- Approve
- The transaction is an approval (authorization).
- Deposit
- The transaction is a deposit (capture).
- Refund
- The transaction is a credit.
- Reverse Refund

- Reverse Approval
- The transaction is an approval (authorization) reversal.
- Reverse Deposit
- The transaction is a deposit (capture) reversal.
- Type
- The type of operation performed at that particular time, such as:
- Payment Instruction
- The payment method and the details necessary to perform the payment action
- Payment Action
- The financial transaction performed
- Amount
- The amount associated with the payment operation in the customer's preferred currency (or the store's default currency). For example, if the operation is Approve, this amount is the Approve Amount.
- Account
- The account used for billing the order for that payment method. For example, for credit card payments, the cardholder account number is shown, with all digits except the last four masked.
- Timestamp
- Date and time when the particular payment operation occurred.
- Operation Result
- Indication of the success or failure of the payment operation. Possible results are: Success, Failed, Pending.
A payment operation could fail for these reasons:
- Communication problem with a back-end financial system
- AVS code mismatch problem (credit card)
A payment operation could be pending when:
- A payment plug-in is processing a transaction and the transaction must be approved or handled offline (that is, manual intervention must occur to move a payment transaction from an approving to an approved state).
- A timeout has occurred on the network while the payment plug-in was communicating with the payment service provider. As a result, the transaction that was occurring requires manual intervention to proceed.
