Opening or closing a hosted store (Channel Manager) (Business Edition)

Before customers can access a hosted store, the store must be opened. Only stores with a status of Closed can be opened.

Closing a store prevents customers from accessing a hosted store. Hosted stores should be closed before making any changes to the hosted store.

To open a hosted store:

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
  2. From the Channel, Hosting, or Supplier menu, click Hosted Stores.
    The Hosted Stores page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.
  3. Select the check box to the left of the hosted store that you want to open. Only stores with a status of Closed can be opened.
  4. Click Open. The hosted store is given a Opened status.

To close a hosted store:

  1. Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
  2. From the Channel, Hosting, or Supplier menu, click Hosted Stores.
    The Hosted Stores page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.
  3. Select the check box to the left of the hosted store that you want to close. Only stores of Open can be closed.
  4. Click Close. The hosted store is given a Closed status.
