Once you have set the system default settings for the e-mail transport method, activate notification by doing the following:
- Open the Configuration Manager.
- Expand WebSphere Commerce > node name> Commerce > Instance List> instance_name-> Log System.
The Log System page displays. - Check the Notification Enabled check box.
- Following the directions in the topic Assigning the error condition message type to the e-mail transport, assign the "Description of an error condition occurring in WebSphere Commerce" message type to the e-mail transport.
- Restart the WebSphere Commerce Server.
