The objective of e-mail activity is to convey marketing e-mail messages to the right customer segment at the right time.
In order to generate an e-mail campaign for a customer segment, the Marketing Manager will create an e-mail activity. Prior to this process, the Marketing Manager is expected to have created the profile representing the customer segment and the e-mail template representing the content of the e-mail. The e-mail content may contain a coupon, an advertisement for certain product, or any marketing message as appropriate.
