Use this page to name and describe the customer segment.
- Customer segment name
- Enter the name of the customer segment in this field. Customer segment names are alphanumeric, may not contain special characters, and must start with a letter.
- Description
- Enter a meaningful description of the customer segment in this field. This description will appear in the primary Customer Segments list. This field is for the benefit of people using the segment to create campaigns, and does not factor into program logic.
- Customer Segments
- Use this tool to define customer segment requirements for inclusion in this segment. Select one of the following options
- Ignore customer segments
- Select this option to ignore customer segments for this segment.
- Customer must belong to one of the selected customer segments
- Select this option to include only customers that belong to specific customer segments.
- Customer must belong to all of the selected customer segments
- Select this option to include customers that belong to all of the specified customer segments.
- Customer must not belong to any of the selected customer segments
- Select this option to exclude customers that belong to any of the specified customer segments.
If you select an option other than the ignore customer segments option, the following options display:
- Selected customer segments
- Lists the customer segments selected for inclusion in the segment.
- Available customer segments
- Lists the customer segments available for inclusion in the segment.
- Included Customers
- This list displays the customers explicitly included in the segment. It enables you to explicitly add new customers and to remove customers already explicitly added. Explicitly included customers are displayed in a table with the following information:
- Logon ID
- The logon ID of the customer.
- First Name
- The first name of the customer.
- Last Name
- The last name of the customer.
- Excluded Customers
- This list displays the customers explicitly excluded from the segment. It enables you to explicitly add new customers to the list of excluded customers, and to remove customers from the explicitly excluded list. Explicitly excluded customers are displayed in a table with the following information:
- Logon ID
- The logon ID of the customer.
- First Name
- The first name of the customer.
- Last Name
- The last name of the customer.
