To hide a SKU so that it does not display to customers, for example, if the SKU is temporarily out of stock:
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
From the Merchandise menu, click Find Catalog Entries.
From the Products menu, click Find Catalog Entries.
The Catalog Entry Search page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.- Find the product containing the SKU you want to change.
- Select a field in the product row containing the SKU you want to change, and from the Actions menu, click Show SKUs.
- Select a field in the SKU row that you want to change. The background for the selected field is highlighted, and from the Actions menu, click Change SKU.
- When you open the notebook, the General page displays. Clear the Display to customers check box.
- To hide and close the notebook, click OK.
Notes:
- The status of the Display to customers check box is language specific; that is, if the SKU is offered at a French store and a Japanese store, and you want to hide the SKU at both stores, you must clear the Display to customers check box for each store. To work in another language, click the icon, found in the upper left corner.
- You can switch to a different language only if you are authorized to work with more than one of the WebSphere Commerce supported languages and if the language is available.
- If the changes to the catalog data do not display, the Site Administrator may need to remove the currently cached JSP pages.
