To allow for adding/removing users from explicit member groups.
Member groups are used for access control, personalization, approvals, and for custom purposes. Member groups are created by the bootstrapping process, or part of other flows in the system (for example, registering a new reseller organization automatically creates an approval group). The assignment of users to and from membergroups is a base feature, available from the member subsystem tooling. See membergroups in the online help for more details.
Membergroups can be implicit and/or explicit (see online help for more details). In the case of an implicit group, membership is determined based on the conditions specified. In the case of an explicit group, users must be explicitly added/removed from the group. This process describes how to add/remove users from an explicit member group.
