Use this page to create a new Web activity.
- Web Activity Properties
- Use this section to define the general information about the new Web activity. This section includes the following elements:
- Name
- (Required) Type the name of the campaign in this field. Campaign names are alphanumeric, may not contain special characters, and must start with a letter.
- Description
- Type a meaningful description of the campaign in this field. This description displays wherever the activity is included in a list within the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator, and helps to identify the campaign.
- Campaign
- Optionally, select the campaign to which the activity belongs. If you arrived at the Web Activity page directly from the Campaign list page, this field will be populated with the campaign selected on that page.
- Days on which activity displays
- Select when this activity is available. The values are either Every day of the week, or Specific days of the week. If you select Specific days of the week, new options display, which provide a manner by which to select the days that you want to target. You can select any number of days.
- Monday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Mondays.
- Tuesday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Tuesdays.
- Wednesday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Wednesdays.
- Thursday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Thursdays.
- Friday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Fridays.
- Saturday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Saturdays.
- Sunday
- Select this check box to specify that the activity is available on Sundays.
- Display activities in the following e-Marketing Spots:
- Select where on the site this activity displays. This lists all of the e-Marketing Spots to which the activity is assigned. When you first create an activity, the list is empty. You must click Add to select one or more e-Marketing Spots in which to display the current activity. You can also select one or more e-Marketing Spots from this list, and click Remove to discontinue displaying the activity in the selected e-Marketing Spots. The target e-Marketing Spots are listed in a tabular format that includes the following data:
- e-Marketing Spot
- The name of the e-Marketing Spot.
- Start Date
- The date and time when the activity starts displaying on the selected e-Marketing Spot.
- End Date
- The date and time when the activity stops displaying on the selected e-Marketing Spot.
- Priority
- The assigned priority of the Web activity in the selected e-Marketing Spot. The lower the value, the higher the priority.
- Web Activity Definition
- This section displays the campaign activities associated with the campaign. This section includes the following elements:
- Activity type
- Use this tool to select the type of Web activity that you want. The available options include Promotion, Product recommendation, Category, Up-sell Products, Cross-sell Products, and Advertisement. Depending on which type you choose, the interface changes to collect the appropriate information.
- Promotion activities
- If you select a promotions activity type, the following options display:
- Selected promotion
- Select the promotion that the Web activity will advertise. If you do not see the promotion that you need, click New to create a new promotion. Once complete, the promotion will display in this list. If you see a promotion, but are not sure exactly what it does, click Summary to view a summary of the highlighted promotion.
- Selected content
- (required) Lists the content selected for display using this activity.
- Available content
- Lists the content supporting promotions available for display.
- This section also provides the following buttons:
- Product recommendation activities
- If you select a product activity type, the following options display:
- Method
- Select the manner by which you want to generate the product recommendations. The available options include Select specific products, Let the system suggest products based on clickstream analysis, and System suggests products based on one or more filters. If you choose Select specific product, the following options display:
- Product SKU
- Enter the SKU of the product to recommend, and click Add to add it to the list of recommended products.
- Selected product SKUs
- (required) The SKUs of the products that will be recommended. If you do not know the SKU of a product you want to recommend, click either Find or Browse. To remove a SKU from this list, select the SKU, and click Remove.
If you choose System suggests products based on clickstream analysis, no additional options display. These recommendations are handled by the WebSphere Commerce Server.
If you choose System suggests products based on one or more filters, the following options display:
- Category
- Enter the category from which you want to recommend products.
- Product name keyword
- Enter a keyword. Recommended products are selected from all products that contain the keyword in the product's name.
- SKUs beginning with
- Enter a partial SKU. Recommended products are selected from all products that have a SKU which begins with the partial SKU entered.
- Inventory level
- Select the operators, and the values. Recommended products will be obtained from products with an inventory level that matches your specification.
- Offer price
- Select the operators, and the values. Recommended products will be obtained from products with an offer price that matches your specification.
- Available after date
- Enter a date. Recommended products will be obtained from products which are available after the specified date.
- Category recommendation activities
- If you select a category activity type, the following options display:
- Category identifier
- Enter the name of a category that you would like to recommend, and click Add to add the category to the list.
- Selected category
- The list of categories to recommend. If you do not know the category identifier of the category that you want to recommend, click List. To remove a category from this list, select the category, and click Remove.
- Advertisement activities
- If you select an advertisement activity type, the following options display:
- Selected content
- (required) Lists the content selected for display using this activity.
- Available content
- Lists the content supporting promotions available for display.
- Summary
- Click this button to view a summary of the highlighted content.
- Up-sell product activities
- If you select an up-sell activity type, the following options display:
- Use a predefined product up-sell based on the contents of the current page
- Select this option to generate recommendations based on the current page.
- Use a predefined product up-sell based on the contents of the customer's shopping cart
- Select this option to generate recommendations based on the customer's shopping cart.
- Use a predefined product up-sell based on the contents of the customer's purchase history
- Select this option to generate recommendations based on the customer's purchase history.
- Cross-sell product activities
- If you select a cross-sell activity type, the following options display:
- Use a predefined product cross-sell based on the contents of the current page
- Select this option to generate recommendations based on the current page.
- Use a predefined product cross-sell based on the contents of the customer's shopping cart
- Select this option to generate recommendations based on the customer's shopping cart.
- Use a predefined product cross-sell based on the contents of the customer's purchase history
- Select this option to generate recommendations based on the customer's purchase history.
- Target customers
- For all activity types save promotions, use this tool to identify the customers that the activity targets. The available options include Target all customers, and Target specific customer segments. If you select Target specific customer segments, the following options display:
- Selected customer segments
- Lists the customer segments selected as targets for the condition.
- Available customer segments
- Lists the customer segments available as targets for the condition.
- Target customer behaviors
- This section lets you identify the customer behaviors that the activity targets. Use the list to select the behavior type, and then enter the appropriate data into the text entry field, and click Add to define a target customer behavior. For example, if you select 'Current shopping cart contains SKU', you must enter a valid SKU, and click Add. If you do not know the SKU, click either Find or Browse. The table lists all of the activity's target behaviors with the following information:
- Customer Behavior
- Shows the selected behavior.
- Value
- Shows the value associated with the specified attribute type. For instance, if the behavior is C, and the type is SKU, then the value might be SKU-1034. If the specified SKU is in the shopping cart, then this target behavior would be evaluated as true.
- Remove
- Click this button to remove the selected target behavior.
