A customer profile is used mainly as a target segment for the following:

Description

A customer profile represents a group of customers (or a customer segment) based on their common characteristics. It may be created based on the following customer characteristics (or attributes):

A customer profile may also be created by including and excluding the customers explicitly. In addition, a customer profile may also be created by including or excluding existing customer profiles.

Set criteria

A customer profile may be created by specifying the characteristics of the following:

  • Registration information
  • Demographics information
  • Address information
  • Cultural information
  • Purchase history
  • Account information (for Business to Business stores only)
  • Other customer information such as interests

An inclusion or exclusion list of customer may also be specified. In addition, existing customer profiles may be included or excluded in the creation of a customer profile.

Name and description of the profile should be entered by the creator of the profile.

The Marketing Manager may import a list of customers identified by WebSphere Commerce Analyzer through WebSphere Commerce Accelerator while creating or updating the customer profile.
