The category tree for a catalog displays the top categories and subcategories. Using the sales catalog tooling, you can access two different category trees at once. The target catalog is the sales catalog which you are currently working on. The source catalog represents the catalog from which you base the sales catalog.
Use this tree to view the category tree for the source catalog and details about the categories. The root of the catalog tree displays the catalog code. Following the code are the top categories, or catalog groups, and subcategories in the catalog.
- Select Catalog
- Click this button to display a list of available catalogs.
- Link to Target Category
- Click this button to link a selected catalog category and its subcategories to the sales catalog.
- Duplicate Structure
- Click this button to duplicate the category structure of a catalog segment. This structure will be copied to the sales catalog.
- Duplicate Structure and Catalog Entries
- Click this button to duplicate the category structure and all contained catalog entries of a catalog segment. This structure, including catalog entries, will be copied to the sales catalog.
- List Catalog Entries
- Click this button to list all catalog entries for the selected category. Note that you must select a category from the tree before you can use this button.
- Refresh
- Click this button to display any changes to the source catalog category tree. Updating the target catalog category tree can also affect the source category tree. If Refresh is not clicked, then linking or duplicating any part of the source category tree may not be correct, since it would be based on the displayed source category tree, not the actual source category tree.
