Creating a user for Configuration Password Manager

To create a user for Configuration Password Manager:

  1. Launch the Configuration Password Manager.
  2. Click Add. The Add New User panel displays.
  3. Complete the required fields on the panel:
    User Name
    Name of the user.
    User Role
    One of the following supported roles from the drop-down list:
    • Business Edition only Collaboration Administrator
    • Business Edition only QuickPlace Administrator
    • LDAP Administrator
    • Database User
    • Database Administrator
    Login Password
    The password used to log on to Configuration Password Manager.
    Instance List
    The list of WebSphere Commerce instances for which the user can set the password.
  4. Click Add to add the new user. Configuration Password Manager stores the entered information in the XML repository.
