Creating a resource group

You must have Site Administrator authority to create new resource group. To create a resource group do the following:

  1. Open the Organization Administration Console.
  2. From the Access Management menu, click Resource Group. The Resource Group page displays with a list of resource groups.
  3. Click New. The General page displays.
  4. On the General page:
    • For Name, specify the unique name for the new resource group.
    • For Display Name, specify the locale specific name for the new resource group.
    • For Description, type a description for the resource group.
    • Click Next. The Type page displays.
  5. On the Type page for Type, specify the resource group type: implicit or explicit. Click Next. The Details page displays.
  6. On the Details page:
    • For the implicit resource group:
      1. For Select Resources, select the resource name from the drop-down box to specify values for attributes. Note that only those resources are displayed which has attributes associated with it.
      2. Click Finish. A message box tells you that a new resource group has been added. Click OK.
    • For the explicit resource group:
      1. Select the resources.
      2. Click Finish. A message box tells you that a new resource group has been added. Click OK.
