A WebSphere Commerce instance is started and stopped as an application server called WC_instance_name, where instance_name is the name of the WebSphere Commerce instance you want to start or stop. For example, to start a WebSphere Commerce instance called demo, you would need to start an application server called WC_demo.
To start or stop a WebSphere Commerce instance:
- Decide which WebSphere Commerce instance you want to start or stop.
- Follow the instructions for stopping and starting an application server for your platform:
- Start the WebSphere Commerce information center.
The WebSphere Commerce information center must be started in order to provide help when using the WebSphere Commerce tools such as WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
