Use this page to move a pending credit in crediting state to a credited state so that processing for the credit can proceed, if it is appropriate for the credit to continue.
Financial Transaction Data
At the time you approve a pending credit, you may obtain other information from your payment processor (for example, over the phone for offline transactions) that you will need to record for the transaction. Type this data in the fields provided.
- Requested Amount
- The requested amount that will be used to approve the credit (display-only field).
- Transaction Result
- Click "success" if the transaction was successful, or "failure" if it failed.
- Reason Code
- Type the reason code associated with the transaction failure, as received from the back-end system. The default reason code value is '1' for failures. This field is displayed only when the transaction result is failure.
- Processed Amount (required)
- Type the amount that was processed in this financial transaction for the credit. If the transaction result is "failure," this field is not displayed and the reason code default is 1. If the transaction result is "success," this field displays with a default value equal to the requested amount. The reason code field does not display for successful transactions. When entering the processed amount, do not enter the currency code. Typically, the processed amount should be equal to the requested amount; however, it can be less than the requested amount.
- Reference Number (required)
- Type the reference number received from the back-end system. The reference number may be used later in a subsequent transaction.
- Comment
- Type any optional text comments in this field to record additional notes about the transaction. The system includes the comment text as extended data for the transaction.
- Next
- Click this button to move to the Edit Pending Credit Extended Data page where you can add or delete the raw data related to the transaction (requires appropriate access) and to complete the transaction.
