Schedule Information Mining

Use this page to set up the proper environment for performing data mining-related data activities.

Mining base name
Type the name of the mining base. Note that this mining base should not be the same as the mining base used by any other applications. If you have completed this step previously, the name you used will be imported into DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data. If you want to reuse this name, you must delete this mining base in DB2 Intelligent Miner for Data.
Mining user name
The user ID of the data mining user. This can be the user ID of the Windows administrator.
Mining password
The password for the data mining user.
Activate mining
Select the check box to activate mining. If you select activate mining, data mining will run automatically after each Extract, Transform and Load (ETL) process runs. If not, your settings will be configured, but you will have to activate mining before it will run.
Mining training interval (in days)
Type the interval (in days) of how often the mining models are trained. If the value is 0 the mining model training operation will be executed every time the scheduled WebSphere Commerce Analyzer Extraction, Transform and Load (ETL) process runs.
Mining apply interval (in days)
Type the interval (in days) of how often the mining models are applied to the operational data set. If the value is 0 the mining model apply operation will be executed every time the scheduled WebSphere Commerce Analyzer Extraction, Transform and Load (ETL) process runs.
Activate closed loop
Select Activate closed loop to generate data mining results and scores that can be imported into the WebSphere Commerce database to create customer segments.
