To change a product's volume parameters, such as the multiple in which the product is reordered and unit of measure, for future use when reordering:
- Open the WebSphere Commerce Accelerator.
From the Merchandise menu, click Find Catalog Entries.
From the Products menu, click Find Catalog Entries.
The Catalog Entry Search page displays. If you do not see this menu, then your logon ID does not have the appropriate authority to perform this task. Contact your Site Administrator.- Find the product you want to change.
- Select a field in the product row that you want to change, and from the Actions menu, click Change Product. The Change Product notebook opens.
- From the left navigation frame, click Fulfillment. The Product Fulfillment page displays. Do the following:
- In the Enter the smallest amount that can be measured field, type the smallest amount that can be measured or tracked by the inventory system. Inventory amounts are tracked in integral units. This number, along with the unit of measure you specify, indicates how much each integral unit represents. For example, if the product is a 2 kilogram bag of potatoes (priced by the kilogram), type 2 to indicate that only whole bags can be reordered. Note: Once you have defined specified items for this product, you cannot change this amount since it affects the meaning of all amounts of this product recorded in the database.
- From the Unit of Measure drop-down list, select the unit of measure used for the product. In this example, you would select kilogram.
- To save the changed product specifications for reordering and close the notebook, click OK.
