INSTALLATION INFORMATION ===================================================================== Before you install the IBM WTX Pack for SWIFTNet Funds, close all programs running on your computer and back up your existing files. INSTALLATION PREREQUISITES -------------------------- IBM WTX 8.1 including service patch 111171, must be installed prior to installation of the IBM WTX PACK for SWIFTNet Funds. After installation of IBM WTX Pack for SWIFTNet Funds, service patch ec112436 must be installed. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS ------------------------- There are two different ways in which you can install the IBM WTX products: - From the Electronic Software Distribution (ESD) site - From the CD-ROM From the ESD Site --------------------------------------------------- To install IBM WTX products from the ESD site: 1) Download the file from the ESD site. 2) If you are installing on a different machine, transfer the file, in binary mode, to the target machine. 3) On Windows, run the corresponding .EXE file. OR On UNIX, untar the image and run DSTXINST. 4) Follow the instructions presented in the installation program. From the CD-ROM --------------- Instructions are presented by platform (either Windows or UNIX). Windows Platform ---------------- To run Windows-based IBM WTX products, your computer system should meet the following minimum requirements: - personal computer (Pentium III-based processor with a monitor and a mouse or compatible pointing device) with at least 1 GB of hard-disk space and 256 MB of RAM NOTE Depending upon the product components you choose to install, and the size and complexity of your data and maps, additional RAM or hard disk space may be required. Additional system requirements, if any, are listed in the documentation for each product component. To install an IBM WTX product on a Windows platform: 1) Insert the IBM WTX product CD into the CD-ROM drive. 2) If the installation program starts automatically within a few moments, skip to Step 4. OR If it does not start within a few moments, from the Start menu, select Run. 3) Enter D:\setup.exe to execute the installation program in the root directory of the IBM WTX product CD where D: represents the appropriate letter of your CD-ROM drive. 4) Follow the instructions presented in the installation program. UNIX Environment Variable Setup Program --------------------------------------- The environment variables required to execute an IBM WTX map or system must be set prior to execution. You can set the environment variables (PATH, Shared Library Path, DTX_HOME_DIR, and JAVAHOME) by running the setup program. Before executing an IBM WTX map or system (using the Launcher) and after login, execute the setup program in the IBM WTX installation directory. This sets the required environment variables for this session only; you may want to add this to the .profile script so that these are set for each session. NOTE The following command procedure assumes that your UNIX command line environment is the Korn (ksh) shell. Execute the command as follows: . /install_dir/setup NOTE There must be a space between the initial period (.) and the command path. INSTALLATION-RELATED ISSUES --------------------------- There are no installation issues at this time. ===================================================================== 3. UNINSTALL INSTRUCTIONS ===================================================================== - To uninstall IBM WTX product components from Windows platforms, from the Start menu, select Settings > Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs. Highlight the product component to be uninstalled and click Add/Remove. - To uninstall IBM WTX products from UNIX platforms, your current directory must not be within the IBM WTX installation directory tree. The uninstall script does not delete the main installation directory itself. This installation directory must be manually removed. For example, if the product was installed into directory /IBM/WebSphere Transformation Extender 8.1, you could do the following: cd /IBM rm -rf ./WebSphere Transformation Extender 8.1 Either individual components or the entire IBM WTX installation can be removed. Below the directory in which the IBM WTX products are installed is a subdirectory named /dstx_install that contains the uninstall scripts. To remove the IBM WTX product or a component, execute the corresponding uninstall script (from a directory outside the /install_dir/directory) by providing the full path, similar to the following command: install_dir/dstx_install/item_to_be_removed.uninstall where install_dir is the directory in which IBM WTX was installed and item_to_be_removed is the component or product to be uninstalled. ===================================================================== 4. TYPE TREE DIFFERENCES ===================================================================== The swift_iso15022_funds.mtt type tree differs in the following ways from the swift_iso15022.mtt type tree. - The swift_iso15022_funds.mtt type tree contains only messages MT502, MT509, MT515, MT535, MT548 and MT549. - In MT502 and MT515, field 70C PACO in Sequence B2 (C1 for MT515) is amended to explicitly define embedded code-words used in the 2006 Fund Template Specification and the FIN_ToXML_Synonyms spreadsheet (Release July 2006, v1). This allows for direct mapping, rather than extracting data from multi-line text fields. 70C PACO is changed to a choice group that allows either the existing 6 lines of free format text data, or the following structured data. Note the following points about these definitions: - Each code must appear on a separate line, and must appear in the order shown. - All fields are optional, with the intent being to make mapping easier, and not to provide validation. - The choice is between structured code-word data OR narrative text, not a mixture of both /EXEC/xxxx (where xxxx=GRAM,GRPE,NEAM or NEPE) /COMC/29x /ENTF/PRCT/15d /ENTG/[N]3!a15d /BAKL/PRCT/15d /BAKM/[N]3!a15d - In MT502 field 70E TPRO in Sequence B is changed in a similar way to support the following optional structured data: /RNAV/3!a /FOCO/PRCT/15d /FCHC/3!a /SETT/3!n /TOSE/3!n /ISDI/PRCT/15d - In MT515 field 70E TPRO in Sequence C is changed in a similar way to support the following optional structured data: /COMM/PRCT/15d /EXRD/8!n (date format) /RODG/3!a15d /SWIT/PRCT/15d /SETT/3!n /TOSE/3!n /ISDI/15d - In MT535, Sequence B1b SUBBAL contains an additional nested repeating B1b sequence. This is used when mapping from XML to MT535 with multiple Safekeeping Accounts. It is not used on input, and contains a component rule on 16R SUBBAL to prevent data population of this sequence on input ($ !="SUBBAL") - In the top-level Batch Group, two new groups are added (MT502_Switch and MT515_Switch), for use when mapping from XML SwitchOrder to MT502 and from SwitchOrderConfirmation to MT515. ===================================================================== 5. UNIX CONFIGURATION NOTES ===================================================================== When installing the map system on UNIX, the contents of the following Windows directories must be copied into their equivalent UNIX directories: \packs\swiftnetfunds_v1.1\config\ \packs\swiftnetfunds_v1.1\mapsandschemas\ For example, the files in Windows directory \packs\swiftnetfunds_v1.1\config\ would be copied to the UNIX file:
