Welcome to IBM WebSphere Studio 4.0 Fixpack 2 (V4.0.2). This README contains information about installing and using IBM WebSphere Studio 4.0.2. This Fixpack will upgrade your copy of IBM WebSphere Studio Entry, Professional, or Advanced Edition from version 4.0 or version 4.0.1 to version 4.0.2.

This Fixpack includes the following updates and enhancements:

When using the Distributed Debugger to debug on WebSphere Application Server V4.0, Advanced Server Edition (AE), you can now start or stop the Debugger on the Application Server from Studio. You also can query the server status from Studio.
Studio will automatically register Dreamweaver as an additional editor for files with the extension .html, .htm, .css, and .jsp if it is installed on your system. To use Dreamweaver, right-click the file you wish to edit and select Edit->with to open the file.

This Fixpack also includes the following corrections:

APAR	Description
PQ50763	With this Fixpack, the SQL wizard displays the correct list of operators on the conditions tab when using Oracle. Additional operators including StartsWith are now in the list.
PQ52014	This Fixpack addresses problems encountered when selecting a DBCS column name on the column tab of the SQL wizard. Previously, this selection caused the SQL wizard to hang.
PQ52366	This Fixpack provides support to display line numbers while editing your HTML or JSP files with Page Designer. The row and column number will appear in the lower right corner of the status bar when a file is opened in Page Designer. Similarly, line numbers will also be displayed in the VoiceXML editor.
PQ50981	This Fixpack addresses problems when using ClearCase trigger for adding a file into ClearCase. Before this fix was implemented, Studio crashed if the trigger aborted the operation .
PQ52015	Check-in and check-out of files in the servlet folder was not being handled correctly when using Rational ClearCase. With this Fixpack, a selection dialog will no longer appear.

How to install this Fixpack

Before you can install Fixpack 2, you must already have Studio, V4.0 or V4.0.1 Entry, Professional or Advanced edition installed.

To verify that you have Studio V4.0 or Studio V4.0.1 installed:

Launch Studio.
From the Studio main menu, select Help, About.

To install this Fixpack on WebSphere Studio 4.0 or 4.0.1 Entry, Professional, or Advanced Editions:

Download the Studio Fixpack installation file from the Web site.
Unzip the file into a local directory.
Close Studio.
Run setup.exe.
Follow the instructions on the screen.

Uninstall

You cannot uninstall this Fixpack without removing the base product, Studio. To uninstall this Fixpack and Studio, use the Add/Remove programs option in Windows.
