The Models 100 and 200 serve out local storage to iSCSI clients' requests. The IBM IP Storage acts as a single server to the physical disk drives on behalf of the iSCSI client. The physical disk drive storage is partitioned into multiple virtual logical units of storage (VLUNs) for storage assignments to individual iSCSI client. iSCSI clients use an assigned client ID and password to access assigned LUNs.
