Administrator's Guide
Data ports are used for storage traffic and configuration purposes.
The ports are automatically enabled when first powered on by the ARPFind
function as part of the hardware installation process. Once the
Administrative Console is up and running and a single port is configured, all
other ports will default to the disabled state.
To modify the configuration of a data port using the Administrative
Console:
- Click Network --> Data ports to view a list of
ports.
- Select the port that you want to configure.
- Click Edit to view the port settings.
- Type the IP address of the port in the IP Address field.
Attention: The data port and control port must be in
different subnets.
- Type the subnet mask of the port in the Netmask field.
- Type the host name of the machine in the Host name
field.
- Click Apply.
- Click Advanced.
- Type the maximum transmission unit in the MTU field.
- Type the medium access control (MAC) address in the MAC address
field.
- Click the flow control from the Flow control drop-down
list. You can select one of the following values:
- Disabled (default)
- Enabled

- Click Apply.
