Analyzer.properties file

To choose a security setting:

1. To add the Analyzer Server to your library list, run the command:

ADDLIBLE ANZSERVER

where ANZSERVER is the name of your Analyzer Server library.

2. To stop the Analyzer Server, run the ENDANZ command.

3. Open the Analyzer.properties file for editing. The file is in the IFS directory location /ANZSERVER/proddata/config/ (where ANZSERVER is the Analyzer installation library).

4. Locate the following line:
security.secondaryAuth=iSeries
where iSeries is the current security setting.

5. Change the setting to indicate the desired security setting.

iSeries is the default value, which indicates iSeries Authentication.

Essbase indicates Essbase Authentication.

If the value is blank, this indicates Analyzer Security Only.

6. Save the file, and run the STRANZ command to restart the Analyzer Server.

If you choose an Analyzer Integrated Security setting (Essbase Authentication or iSeries Authentication), see Activation User Group to specify which users will have Analyzer access.

Important: If you convert users from integrated security to Analyzer-only security, the converted passwords become case sensitive and the users will be prompted to change their passwords the next time they log on.
