Comparing Decisions

Decision comparison functionality is provided which allows case workers to compare a decision within a determination to a previous decision within the determination. Decision comparison provides the ability for a case worker to easily understand why client eligibility and entitlement has changed. For example, a case worker may wish to use the decision comparison to better understand if income was a primary factor in the change to a client's eligibility.

Case workers can also use the decision comparison functionality to understand why an over or under payment was generated by the system. The decision comparison view allows the case worker to see the previous and current values of key information used in determining why the client's eligibility has changed, for example, a change in the client's net countable income may have caused the client to become ineligible for benefits.

Note that the agency must develop the decision details rules used for displaying decision comparison information. For more information, see Defining Rules and Assigning Them to Products.
