Specifying a Provider and Provider Type

In most cases, a case worker will specify an appropriate provider or type of provider to deliver the service to the client.

For example, an agency may wish to allow a case worker to always choose a provider to deliver a service. For example, the agency may have a contract with a particular provider and therefore it is more cost effective to utilize this provider. To cater for different scenarios, service configuration allows the agency to configure the way in which a provider is specified by a case worker at the case level. For more information, see Configuring Service Provider Selection.
