When a service or custom service plan item is approved and no frequency has been specified, one service authorization line item will be created. The date range within which the participant is authorized to receive the service is determined from the expected start date and expected end date specified for the plan item. An example is below:
If a user enters an expected start date of January 1, 2008; an expected end date of January 11, 2008; a total units authorized of 2, and an authorized rate of $200, a service authorization line item will be created for the service authorization with the following details:
From Date: January 1, 2008 (Tuesday) To Date: January 11, 2008 (Friday) Units Authorized: 2 Unit Amount: 200
