Referrals to services are used to refer clients to a third party service provider who may have no formal contract or relationship with the agency but who may be better able to meet the client's need. Unless follow up is required, on referral, the agency usually has no further contact with a client. Like services, referral processing works in conjunction with the Cúram Provider Management (CPM) module. That is, the referral services are registered as part of CPM. Therefore, the CPM module must be installed in order for case workers to deliver referrals to clients.
